EUNMI KIM KOREA 1988
In my art work, I optionally made landscape for the audience to approach from near and far. So the 「Zoom in zoom out」 series is created in a way a smart phone is used in our everyday lives. In other words, using a touch screen is a familiar life style for all of us with multiple purposes including travel and taking pictures. There is temp-orality in this art work but no priorities exist unlike everyday life or literature that has flow of time. Moreover, the colored side, pattern, and the shape of the building are not just placed in a row but in a way these are approaching some kind of climax. The circulation of time seems to be cut off by placing a comparatively large colored side among the buildings densely arranged and one can recall a sense of rhythm from the repetitive action of increasing and decreasing the size of the screen. - Eunmi Kim
